Tom Lewsam is a senior building surveyor and Director at Evolda Limited, bringing a strong mix of technical expertise, leadership experience and commercial insight to the practice.
He is known for his calm, assured approach and his ability to manage complex surveying and project instructions with clarity and confidence.
Tom began his professional career at Workman in 2015, joining as a Graduate Surveyor based in the Manchester office. Shortly after, he became involved in supporting the opening of Workman’s new Birmingham office, permanently relocating in early 2016 to join James as the second member of the Birmingham team. During his seven years with Workman, Tom progressed from Graduate Surveyor to Associate Director, successfully completing his APC to become a Chartered Member of the RICS along the way.
In November 2021, Tom joined Jones Lang LaSalle (JLL) as an Associate Director, where he further developed his leadership and strategic experience. At JLL, Tom managed his own team and acted as the national lead for Building Surveying services across a portfolio of major shopping centres throughout the UK, providing both professional services and project management advice at scale.
Throughout his career, Tom has delivered building consultancy and project management services across a wide range of sectors. His experience includes agreeing a Landlord’s Schedule of Works for a c.£8 million scheme and acting as Project Manager to deliver the works, achieving a dilapidations reduction of £1.1 million resulting in a £500k settlement, and successfully delivering numerous smaller work packages with a strong focus on value, risk management and commercial outcomes.
At Evolda, Tom plays a key role in leading client instructions and supporting the continued growth of the practice, providing robust, commercially focused advice backed by hands‑on experience across complex assets and large‑scale portfolios.
